Risk Assessment of Selected Methods of Retirement Saving

The Master Thesis „Risk Assessment of Selected Methods of Retirement Saving“ deals with retirement savings risk assessment in three selected alternatives. The theoretical part focuses on the collection and processing of data: II. pillar, Unit Linked Insurance and separate investments. Companies representing all the different alternatives are selected and described. In the second part of the Master thesis are calculated models of alternatives. The risk analysis for all considering saving options is carried out by Ripran Method.

The theoretical part is devoted to general investment concepts with a focus on collective investment funds and evaluation of their return, risk and liquidity. The practical part is devoted to the selection, analysis and comparison of funds. The design part contains investment recommendations of a specific fund meeting the investment requirements of a specific investor.

The aim of the thesis is drafting recommendations for investment management investment companies in order to improve the track investment portfolio, fund focused on exchange-traded shares of gold mining companies. The theoretical part summarizes the methodology and fundamental analysis of stocks. Based on the comparison of results, the conclusion provides investment recommendations.

Qualified investors' funds and asset management comparable to management of an investment funds The main aim of the submitted diploma thesis is particularly a description and analysis of the regulation of qualified investors' funds and asset management comparable to management of an investment funds, and the comparison of their usage in practice, especially in terms of numerical representation of individual legal forms. Apart from the descriptive and analytical methods, I frequently use the comparative method and also methods of deduction and induction. The diploma thesis consists of six chapters. The content of the first chapter is a brief introduction to the capital market law, in the second one, we find the regulation of investment funds in the Czech Republic. In the third chapter, I deal with the definition of the investment fund and analyse activities, which are directly related to the investment fund, i.e. management, administration and marketing of investments. The fourth chapter provides an overview how the current regulation divides investment funds. Emphasis is put on differences in regulatory requirements between establishing an internally managed and externally managed investments fund. Peterka V., Determinants of Shadow banking development in euro area. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. Diploma thesis focuses on determinants influencing Shadow banking in euro area countries. The aim of this thesis is to identify these factors by using panel data regression analysis and OLS and WLS estimators. Factors/variables are segmented into three groups, gradually added into models and changes in coefficients values are observed because of stability. The final model is created based on the process of gradually added variables and then replicated by using WLS method. According theoretical background and empirical analysis there are mentioned factors/variables influencing a growth of shadow banking in euro area countries in period 2009 - 2017. Significant variables with influence on the growth of Shadow banking are: unemployment rate, bank sector size, stock price index, capital regulation index and index of financial development.

Protection of Investor on Capital Market Investor protection on the capital market is a highly topical subject. The main aim of this dissertation was to confirm or refute the hypotheses presented in the introduction, and in particular to ascertain whether there is sufficient investor protection on the capital market. Besides its introduction and conclusion, the dissertation has five parts which, in turn, are broken down into separate chapters. At the time the dissertation was being drawn up, there were a number of investment opportunities on the capital market that posed higher or lower risks. As it is difficult for ordinary investors to identify the degree of risk associated with a particular type of investment opportunity, the dissertation aims to describe the level of investor protection linked to the most common types of investment opportunities. Investment funds are unquestionably the most commonly used investment vehicle. Consequently, these investment instruments are covered in most detail. The dissertation explains the level of investor protection according to the type of investment fund. Depositary in collective investment scheme Abstract This master thesis deals with collective investment scheme with the main focus on role and duties of depositary. The basic concepts of financial market and collective investment are briefly presented. Furthermore, the historical development of collective investment in the world and the Czech Republic is outlined. The master thesis analyzes and classifies types of mutual funds in terms of both European and national legislation. Furthemore the scheme of collective investment, its elements and relations between them are described. The master thesis itroduce legal entities that may be appointed as depositaries, more closely analyzes depositary's duties, conditions for the delegation of the depositary's duties to a third party and depositary's liability. Another entities providing protection of investors are presented.
Collective investment in the light of a new Ect on investment companies and investment funds

The first chapter deals with basic issues of mutual fund industry. The aim of this chapter is to look at mutual fund as an institution especially from a fundamental economic perspective and come through into its economic nature. Furthermore the chapter contain description of main benefits of mutual funds as compared with the individual investment, draws attention to the problem of conflicts of interest and contains the basic classification of investment funds. The aim of the second chapter is to describe in basic features of legal framework of mutual fund industry in Czech Republic in the light of new Investment Company and Investment Fund Law. With regard to the scope of respective law, focuses the chapter mainly on applicability, structure, individual persons, legal forms and on some chosen questions. Content of the third chapter is brief treatise about taxation with respect to the mutual fund industry. This include case study performed on model situation and outline to the investment fund taxation in Luxembourg and Cayman Islands. The goal of this chapter is to evaluate whether intention to set up an attractive tax environment in the Czech Republic was successful or not.
